I am a historian and archaeologist, specialising in ancient Roman theatre and entertainment. I am currently an Early Career Research Associate at the Institute of Classical Studies (School of Advanced Studies, University of London) and next year will take up the Shortland-Jones Fellowship at the British School at Rome.

I have taught at UCL in the History Department and the Widening Participation Department and have worked on the European Research Council Project, Fragments of the Roman Republican Antiquarians. I have also worked on projects in the Greece and Rome Department at the British Museum, and as a Field Archaeologist for the Museum of London Archaeology.

My writing has appeared in The Times Literary Supplement, Classical Review, BBC History Magazine, History Today, Bryn Mawr Classical Review, La Repubblica, and History News Network. My second book will be published in February 2027 by Bloomsbury Publishing.
